Pneumatically operated spreading unit for open mouth bags in different designs. This system can be used as separate component and therefore, can be integrated in existing machines.

Function

The filled bag is put under the bag spreader normally by means of a transport belt. Two spreader fingers are lowered into the bag. When the lowest position is reached the fingers are pulled apart pneumatically and they spread the filled bag.  During spreading the volume above the product level is minimised by the forming and pressing devices which press out air of the filled bag.

The height of the spreader can be adjusted to the individual filled bag lengths. This is either done with a crank handle or by motor.
